Vetiver Essential Oil
Origin: Indonesia (vetiveria zizanoides)

Maximum dermal use level: recommend a dermal maximum of 15%. However some Vetiver contains isoeugenol property, and in this case maximum dermal is 0.2%.
anticarcinogenic potential: Vetiver oil showed significant chemopreventive activity against human mouth epidermal carcinoma (KB) cells, with an IC50 of 68ug/ml, but no activity against mouse leukimia (P388) cels (Manosroi et al 2005). alpha-Cadinol, constituent inside vetiver (0-6.5%) is active against the human colon cancer cell line HT-29 (He et al 1997a).
